Chartered Physiotherapist and international runner Mark Kenneally will be available for Physiotherapy appointments in Wheelworx from July 1st. This addition, in conjunction with the Sports Science Lab means that Wheelworx customers will now have access to a complete range of Sports Science and Medical services.
Mark has worked with athletes over the last 3 years in Private Practice and is currently completing a Masters in Exercise Physiology, and will use this experience, along with his own knowledge of training and competition, to provide a service which caters for the unique needs of runners, triathletes and cyclists. As well as treatment of acute injuries emphasis will be placed on injury prevention, maintenance exercise programs, regular massage and regular Q&A sessions on various aspects of training, injury prevention, nutrition and performance.
Mark will also post a regular training blog to give people an insight into his training and racing, and how he copes with balancing work and international competition.
Cost for individual session will be €40 for a 40 minute consultation, and it is hoped that regular information evenings/Q&A sessions will be free of charge.
